How does the Habits for Health Nutrition Coaching program work?  Each day you will receive a habit, a lesson, and a workout or recovery task (if you have chosen the optional exercise program). You will work on the same habit for 2 weeks, giving you time to incorporate it into your life. The daily lessons help support each habit. The lessons typically take 5-15 minutes to complete. When you have completed each item, you check it off and I am notified. As your coach, I am here for you to give you support as needed. You have access to me through your personal dashboard.

Does this program include exercises?  There is an optional workout component. In order to have a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition is vital. However, to fully maximize your results, adding an exercise component is beneficial. If you already have a fitness regime in place, you can choose the nutrition option only. For most people, I would recommend the full program of both habit-based nutrition and workouts.

Is this a diet plan?  No, this is not a diet. As you have probably already discovered, diets don’t work. They tend to be either quick fixes or unsustainable eating programs that result in rebound weight gain. Because each person is unique, we each need to discover what lifestyle and nutrition choices fit our individual metabolism and personal eating preferences. Habits for Health Nutrition Coaching will help you do that. My goal is to help you incorporate proper nutrition into your life in a sustainable way.

Will I get a specific meal plan?  No, there are no meal plans. Instead, you will discover what foods work for you, your unique metabolism, and your individual food preferences. You will be guided in regards to portion sizes and suggested food choices, but ultimately you will plan your own meals, ensuring you enjoy what you eat.

I am a vegetarian, vegan, have food allergies or intolerances, etc., can I still do this program?  Absolutely. Because there are no specific foods you HAVE to eat, you can tailor this program to your own life and body.

I’ve never worked out before. Or, I have an injury. Or, I want to lose weight. Or, I want to gain muscle. Is the workout program for me?  Yes! You will fill out an assessment questionnaire detailing your current fitness level/experience, any injuries you may have, and your goals. Based on your responses, you will be given an exercise program appropriate to your level and goals.

Do I need to belong to a gym?  No, a gym membership is not necessary. For each workout, you will be given the option to choose between a full-gym workout, an at-home workout, a quick workout, or do your own workout.

How much does the program cost?  My rates are affordable so that I can help as many people as possible break free from dieting and transform their lives by changing your mindset about food. My Habits for Health Nutrition Coaching program is offered at $99 per month, billed monthly for a total of 12 months. If you choose to do the workout program as well, the monthly fee is $129, or just $1 per day for the fitness option. There are no hidden fees or surprises. Your rate will stay the same for the entire year.

What if I don’t like the program? Can I quit?  Although I am confident you will love this program, I understand that a year may feel like a long commitment and you may be hesitant to take the plunge. In order for you to start seeing some results, I ask that you start with a 3-month commitment. If, after 3 months, you aren’t satisfied, you may back out with no questions asked. However, if you choose to continue, you are committed for the entire 12 months. Small, consistent, sustainable changes take time. A year may seem like a long time but believe me it will be worth it.

I’m going on vacation. Or, I’m sick. Or, I’m really busy at work. Can I take a break from the program and start again when things are calmer?  This 12-month program is designed for no breaks. Life doesn’t come with a “pause” button. We just need to roll with the punches and do the best we can. I want my clients to learn that it is possible to continue with their habit-based practices, regardless of life’s ups and downs. This is your program. If you have to skip a few lessons during the course of the year, that is totally okay. I do not expect perfection, nor should you. We all just need to do our best and aim to be as consistent as possible given life’s demands.

What if I have questions during the program? Will I have access to Tami?  Yes, you will. Through the online coaching platform you will be able to send me direct messages. I will also be contacting you to offer support, guidance, and congratulatory high-fives.
